Tour Plan
Early morning departure from Fes via Ifrane, a city in the middle atlas, also called "Little Switzerland" due to its style of building. Stop for a short visit, then continue to Azrou to see the famous Cedar Forest and the opportunity to feed the wild monkeys. Continue further south, passing by Erfoud, until you reach Merzouga, the portal to the Sahara Desert.
Here, you will take a camel ride into the desert and enjoy the sunset over the dunes. Your first night will be at a desert camp or in a traditional Berber tent, including dinner, and you will spend the peaceful night under the stars.
Second day: Early morning, wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Later in the afternoon, you will ride camels back to Merzouga, take breakfast, and begin driving via the Dades Valley. The drive will go through Rissani, where stops at a local market are possible, and further for beautiful landscape, including one stop at the famous Todgha Gorge toward the Dades Valley.
A dramatic region of rock formations and wonderfully beautiful scenery, overnight in one of the quaint guest houses or hotels with included dinner at a mountain-view venue.
The last day will start by driving from Dades Valley down to the town of Ouarzazate, known with its film studios and historical Kasbahs. Make an opportunity to stop for a while and see the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou-or what is usually called a UNESCO World Heritage site-because a lot of movies have been filmed there.
This will be followed by the drive over breathtaking Tizi n'Tichka Pass, a mountain road commanding great views, to arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your 3-day tour.
